Nobleza D

Nobleza D (Atenea IV x Granadino XI 1978) is the dam of Jandira DD and granddam of Princess DD, Stryker DD, and Truly DD.

Reference Information: Nobleza D was a beautiful daughter of Granadino XI of Spain and was revised by the Cria Caballar of Spain. Nobleza D was a first generation import, both parents coming from Spain. Her sire Granadino was rarely offered to outside mares. Her famous grandsire Leviton was the #1 military stallion in Spain. Her dam, Atenea, was a lovely imported bay mare with Escalera, Military, and Terry bloodlines. Nobleza D can be ridden English and on the trails.

This silver grey mare was a sweet heart that anyone could ride. She carried herself with "brio" and was beautiful beyond words. She produced some of our sweetest and prettiest foals. Nobleza D, just like her half-sister Keberes D, was very pre-potent and consistently passed on her best traits to her offspring.

Nobleza’s Bloodlines

Nobleza D's parents Granadino XI 1978 and Atenea IX were both imported from Spain. Her sire was a son of the legendary stallion Leviton and her dam came from well-known Escalera and military lines.

One of Nobleza D's most famous relatives is Genio III - a striking black stallion. Nobleza D's dam Atenea IX was a daughter of Jardinero V and both of Genio III's parents are sired by Jardinero V. Genio III stands at the premiere JDON farms in California and has a stud fee of $5000. He has produced National Champions such as Centenario, Mayoral LA, Chantaje, Pacifico's Prieta Linda, and Reserve National Champions Tachanado and Mi Lolita (Solataire) as well as Futurity Champion Angelica ECV.

More about Genio III from the Jdon website:

"He has a long elegant neck rising high out of his wide, muscular chest and he looks at you with beautiful, perfect triangular eyes. His coat is fine, shiny and always silky to touch. He is a fabulous stallion, proven to stamp himself on his foals over and over again. Genio has made a mark for himself on Spanish horses being bred here in the United States, and his fame is spreading. Genio is the first U.S. Andalusian stallion, that we know of, to have one of his American born offspring exported to Europe, for breeding purposes. Limited bookings by private treaty for select Andalusian mares.

Color

Color: Nobleza D was a Silver Grey. She was heterozygous grey and produced non-grey foals that were chestnut, bay, or black (depending on the stallion she was bred to). Her genotype per UC Davis was Ee Aa. Nobleza D had a dark muzzle and dark skin around her face and eyes. She was born a bay color and had dark points as a yearling and almost looked buckskin. She dappled out as a buckskin/grey young mare and eventually turned silver white with an iridescent sheen. She had a few small brown freckles in her coat indicative of "good breeding". Nobleza D's sire was grey and her dam was bay with a history of producing black.
