Doblon-TR, sire of Stryker DD

DOBLÓN-TR is a Qualified PRE stallion, Young Breeder Recommended for Dressage with a bay coat and 1.66 cm height, identified with the UELN Code number 190101002127646.

Raised by the Ganaderia del Tremedal, he was born on April 16, 1998. He is the son of the first PRE stallion graded Elite, the bay stallion ERMITAÑO III (origin Escalera), and of the bay mare ESPUELA, granddaughter of AGENTE (origin Yeguada Militar).

He was acquired as a weaning foal by Mrs. María Dolores Fernández de Bobadilla, former Director of Spain’s dressage department within the Royal Equestrian Federation (RFHE). During the first years of his sporting life, Doblon had great success, representing Spain in the World Championship.

Doblón stands out for his elasticity and strength, for his great suspension and amplitude, but above all for the expressiveness of his movements. Morphologically speaking, Doblon is a well-plumbed, strong and proportioned specimen, with long and muscular limbs. His neck is strong, long and well-shaped, with correct insertion.

Doblon has a pronounced neck shape, with a long back and a broad chest. The rump is round and strong, and has well-developed musculature. With a height of 1.66 cm (slightly over 16 hands), he perfectly combines beauty and functionality that is transmitted to his descendants. An exemplar of great talent, it can be said that he has a strong but collaborative character, with a calm mind that is also sensitive to the rider.

As for his gaits, they are very good (scored above 8); the trot, elastic, expressive, and forward. Within the breed his trot is considered fantastic. Doblon has an exceptional canter, with a flexibility in the lower back that allows it to arch in an incredible way. They say that this is the most remarkable characteristic of his canter: that flexibility that makes the horse put his feet in and really carry his weight. Also noteworthy is his ability to flex the hocks, raise the back, elevate the knees and stretch the legs forward. [this description also applies to Stryker!)
